Our Story

Chief Instigator and Master Craftsman, Alexander Jr., traces the thread of the wine making tradition in our family through his mother, Fortunata, and her twin sister, Gina, “The Seamstresses.” Their grandfather, Angelo Cecchin, taught the craft to his son Francesco back in Salvatronda, Italy. Francesco immigrated to the United States prior to the 2nd world war, and when joined by his family, over a decade later, passed his knowledge down to his son, Alcide.

The memories of love and laughter, making wine with his father, Alessandro Sr., uncles, siblings, and cousins at Uncle Archie’s Cleveland, Ohio home stand out to Alex as some of the most formative and meaningful experiences of his life.

Our logo and branding theme pays homage to the tools and hard work his parents used to build a life of safety and prosperity for our family.

Our Vines

Once the passion for wine making had reignited in our family, Alex and Meegan decided to take the plunge and plant a small estate vineyard on the winery premise.

To date we are growing Cayuga White grapes due to their unique flavor and blending potential.

On a sentimental note, when Alex and his family moved from Cleveland to Columbia Station, they settled and built their family homes on Cayuga Drive and 50 years later, when we learned of a grape that thrived in our climate and growing conditions, and shared such a powerful bond with our family history, we knew it was the correct choice for our estate vintage.
